Participating in our Teacher Homestay program is a unique opportunity for you to be fully immersed in the Australian culture. Your English will certainly improve and you will leave the Gold Coast with many memories. Below is a list of simple rules to make your transition easier and a few Student agreements. • The homestay student agrees to abide by all reasonable house rules.
• You will be responsible for your own personal care products, snacks, and international calls.
• Please offer to pay for your own items when you are out with your Host family.
• To avoid any misunderstandings, we recommend that you keep your room neat and clean.
• Due to Australia's many laws protecting its citizens rights and freedoms, the Student agrees that he/she cannot request a change in their Host family based on race, religion or any other culturally based difference.
• The Student understands that Dakkoala Homestay Services cannot verify all of the information provided by the Host family.
• The Student verifies that he/she has answered all of the questions correctly on the Student Application Form.
• The student agrees to make reparations to the Host family for any financial damage or injury to the person or property of others that he/she may cause.
• The Student agrees to abide by all of the laws of Australia that pertain to this agreement.
